A special holiday home on the Moselle was the name of the mission we set ourselves in 2017.
Crazy that in November the excavators were on the property and the adventure began. Two weeks before Christmas, our ecologically valuable wooden houses were custom built.
Individually planned and manufactured with a great architect and woodworker. Ziegler timber construction . Everything exactly how we wanted it. NOTHING off the shelf. The nice thing is that the houses were exactly in our heads before the planning started. And not even half a year later, on May 28, 2019, we welcomed our first guests.
It was a real WOW, because right away all three holiday homes were fully booked for the same day, our acid test, so to speak. We were overwhelmed and overjoyed.
The first season, the starting season was crazy. We were able to experience such a “run” on the Mosel Chalets that we could hardly believe it. So our theory was correct – people are looking for something special, modern, also on the Moselle. The chalets found the right guests in the first year and vice versa. It’s great to see how things that fit together come together. Our holiday homes are unique on the Moselle, we have often been told that and the reviews show that we are on the right track.
Of course, we also learned a lot in the first year and are grateful to all guests for the constructive feedback. We have optimized some things, bought additional things or taken them with us into the winter break as a “measure”. For example, we will have outdoor sun protection for next year and equip our holiday homes with a large solar system. Sustainability is important to us, which is why we have also built ecologically and sustainably and avoided the use of paint and environmentally harmful building materials.
Long story short – we would like to thank you from the bottom of our hearts. THANK YOU to all guests who made 2019 unforgettable for us. And THANK YOU to everyone who helped make this project a reality. Of course, a very special thank you also goes to our family, without whom the project would never have worked. It has become a real family project.
Thank you, thank you, thank you everyone.
