A real insider tip: the Marquet sparkling wine cellar in Pomerania

Champagne cellar Marquet Moselle chalets

Hicks.
We have already dealt with fine wines several times in our series on our home region. For example, the Leo Fuchs winery or the Hubertus Vallendar distillery. But since Pomerania has a lot to offer, especially in culinary terms - which on the Moselle doesn't just refer to excellent restaurants 😉 we simply can't keep the Marquet 🍾 sparkling wine cellar from you. Cellar master Klaus Marquet is the seventh generation to produce sparkling wine using traditional bottle fermentation and the highest quality. The traditional, complex and time-consuming process of making wine sparkle directly in the bottle is known as the Méthode Champenoise, or champagne method. The Marquet sparkling wine cellar produces sparkling wine for international wineries, but also sells its own sparkling wine. We really like it and would therefore like to recommend it to you. If you are in Pomerania - preferably during a stay in the Mosel Chalets, of course 😉 then pay a visit to Klaus Marquet. He will be happy to explain the champagne process in person. And you can even take the delicious winter sparkling wine with you 🥂
The website of Sektkellerei Marquet is currently being redesigned. However, you can find them in person at Kapellenberg 1 in 56829 Pommern, about a 5-minute walk from the Mosel Chalets.
