The name is a corruption of the Latin "Nectarius" and the Celtic "Nackas". Both mean something like "rocky height" and are derived from the fact that the slope simply looks "undressed" without foliage in the fall.
Half-timbered houses, one winegrower after another and romantic alleyways invite you to take a day trip from the Moselle chalets. Whether by train, boat, e-bike or car - Kröv is well worth a visit. Tasting the Kröv wine with the special name is a must.
