Spätsommer-Update im Ferienhaus Mosel Chalets
In August we gave our holiday homes a new look. Flexible, robust and beautiful outdoor curtains that we can put up in spring and take down again in autumn.
Since the Mosel Chalets are built sustainably and are now even operated in a climate-neutral manner, we decided against air conditioning and in favor of an ecological solution. The dense, opaque curtains reliably keep the heat out. It wasn’t easy to find a sustainable solution. Holger always said “I want something as simple as a barn door. Easy to open and close by hand. Within seconds”. Holger didn’t want a standard solution. The classic electrical metal slats were simply out of the question.
Our sun protection must be able to do more
The existing solutions all have the same disadvantage. When the slats are down, you look against a wall from the inside. You no longer have a view. closed is closed And that’s exactly what we wanted to do differently, because there is a beautiful view in front of our holiday homes. A kilometer-long southern wine slope. Above these vineyards, our guests can see a daily natural spectacle in the sky. Not only that, but also the sun sets directly in front of the large window fronts. So it was clear that our sun protection had to be able to do more and be transparent. The solution found is as ingenious as it is simple. The curtains are now blowing in the light summer wind and doing a perfect job. The whole thing almost gives the impression of sitting somewhere in the south.
Next week the 30 degree mark should be cracked again in the Pommern Bachtal, so they can show what they can do again 😉
Sustainability is important to our family. Every holiday home in the Mosel Chalets should convey a good feeling and we think that this airy and special solution for sun protection is the right way.
